The City of Mt. Pleasant recently received an international award for their Covid-19 social media campaign “Be The Reason”.
The five part video campaign won the “Award of Excellence” from the Communicator Awards, which is the one of the largest professional recognitions of its kind in the world, honoring digital media.
The videos focused on educating citizens on Covid-19 precautions and provide a sense of unity to the city.
It was produced 100% remotely during the state’s stay at home orders.
“We were thrilled that we could even just get our online video campaign out, but then to be recognized on an international stage, we were pretty pleased,” said Darcy Orlick, Director of Public Relations for the City of Mt. Pleasant.
Other Award of Excellence winners include Microsoft, Comcast, and Disney Creative Studios.
