ClimateTech and global leaders are needed to save the planet | Comment

Speaking at the inaugural Founders Forum ClimateTech Summit in London this week – and with just twenty weeks until we prepare to welcome the leaders of the entire planet to the UN Climate Summit in Glasgow, it is no exaggeration to say we are approaching a moment to make real and lasting change happen.

The UK government is leaning in; committing to a world-leading target which would reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 78% by 2035 compared to 1990 levels. We have similarly bold ambitions on oceans and biodiversity. The G7 this weekend backed our call to protect at least 30% of the global ocean by 2030 underpinned by a new Blue Planet Fund. Altogether, the UK has committed to put £12 billion into international climate
