A stunning ranch with facilities akin to that of many small towns, that was once the crown jewel in the empire of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein has hit the market
Demand in the US, where many Covid-19 restrictions have been significantly eased, is expected to help Epstein’s estate achieve its asking price of an eye-popping US$27.5 million (A$36.27 million).

The US real estate market has been dramatically buoyed as the country enters the next vaccinated phase of the pandemic, with luxury prices in New York City alone up an incredible 21 per cent on the quarter prior.
Known as the Zorro Ranch, the late Epstein’s 8,000 acre New Mexico property boasts a three storey, four bedroom home spanning a huge 10,000 sqm.
Money from the sale of the home is set to be used for the “estate’s regular administration, including its payment as necessary of taxes, creditors and claimants,” Daniel H. Weiner, who represents Epstein’s estate, told The New York Post.

“Now that COVID-19 travel restrictions have begun to ease, this unique property should be more easily accessible to a greater number of potential purchasers.”
Epstein purchased the property, which is a patchwork of private and leased federal lands in 1993.
The home also boats an expansive study and library with built-in bookshelves, a farmhouse, a guesthouse and even an air strip and a hangar.

According to the home’s listing, the estate also includes a caretaker’s residence and Ranch Central, a small village close to the ranch’s entry that has four separate properties.
There are also horse stables, a firehouse, a greenhouse, a tennis court, a well and a yurt.
